The Milky Way and meteor over wild sunflowers in the Sandhills of Northern Nebraska south of Valentine. The Sandhills of Nebraska is a region of mixed-grass prairie on grass-stabilized sand dunes in north-central Nebraska. The Sandhills cover about one quarter of the state. The dunes were designated a National Natural Landmark in 1984.
